This is the first full studio album released by the band Yorushika (stylized ヨルシカ), a J-pop/J-rock group made up primarily of songwriter and composer n-buna and vocalist suis. The album is framed as a collection of letters and songs written by a musician, and left behind in a box for a woman he knew. The letters provide context for the songs, expanding on their themes and concepts and grounding them in the fictional musician's life and travels.
This album was originally released on 4/10/2019. Its partner album, Elma, released on 8/31/2019, is also a concept album that adds another side to the narrative.
The "intended" reading of the album is alongside an actual box of photos, letters and lyrics. This experience has been preserved as a slideshow hosted on Yorushika's website. The slideshow order and materials have been replicated in the presentation of the album on this site.
