1 The White Tiger Corps (白虎隊) was a military unit made up of the teenaged sons of local samurai families, which fought in the Boshin War in 1868. Several of their members, cut off from the rest of their unit, committed seppuku when they incorrectly believed the battle they were fighting had been lost and that their families and lords had all been killed. Though their commanding shogunate did lose the war, many other members of the corps survived the conflict.
2 "Caramel" here is likely a pun on the verb 絡める, to mix together or be entwined.
3 There are two verbs used here that are homophones. 寝る means to lie down or go to bed, and 練る is a trickier verb that means to work a material into a more refined form (to knead, to polish or practice, to temper, to tan, to soften, etc).
4 A purely orthographic flourish to include part of the singer ACAね's stage name: どーしよっCAね
