Submit a Translation Request!
Request Guidelines (日本語版)
- Please remember that I translate as a hobby. I have a full-time job as well as other hobbies. Short requests (song lyrics, for example) are the most likely to be accepted. Short stories and one-shot manga may also be accepted.
- Unless otherwise agreed upon, I will set my own deadlines and deliver translations when I'm done with them, at my own pace.
- You must provide the text you want me to translate. If the content is hosted on the web, you can send me a link. I'm not going to try to search for something you've just described to me.
- I will not take audio-only requests. If you're requesting a translation for a video or audio file, please have a plaintext transcript of all dialogue on hand and ready to send.
- It should be obvious from the rest of the site, but I only translate from Japanese to English. Please don't request EN > JP translations, or translations from Japanese to any other language.
- Any work that I translate by request will be sent directly to you as plaintext, but may also be posted here on my site when applicable, either directly as a Google Drive link or indirectly as a link to a social media post. If the translation you're requesting is for your own original work, we can discuss crediting, as well as posting and sharing permissions, over email as part of the request.
- I am a translator, not a video editor, and not a programmer. I will provide translations, but you're responsible for integrating them into any non-plaintext formats that you might want. I may clean and typeset manga if I'm provided with high quality B&W image files of all pages, as I do have a background in scanlation, but this depends on the length and complexity of the request.
- I will not translate anything that's going to be sold for any amount of money. If I'm doing it for free, you'd better be doing it for free too.
- I reserve the right to refuse any request for any reason.
